General Council needs you!

Wednesday, 23 May 2018

General Council (Woodcraft Folk's Board of Trustees) is made up of members like you, elected by members like you. At Annual Gathering (22-24 June), we'll be electing two members of General Council in the 16-24 category and five members of any age. If you'd like to find out more about being on General Council, please email nominations@woodcraft.org.uk and we can put you in touch with a current GC member for a chat.

Standing up for the Standing Orders

In addition to General Council, we'll also be electing members to the Standing Orders Committee (SOC). SOC helps make sure that we run our democratic processes in a fair and inclusive way. Nominations for the three places serving for two years have closed, but there's still time to stand in the by-election for two places to serve for one year. Again, if you'd like to find out more about being on SOC, please email nominations@woodcraft.org.uk and we can put you in touch with a current SOC member for a chat.

Nominations for both General Council elections and for the SOC by-election close at 9:10am on the Sunday of Annual Gathering (24 June), but it's a great help if you submit your nomination in advance.

To stand for any position, you need find a District to nominate you and then download and complete the nomination form (available in .doc and .pdf format on https://woodcraft.org.uk/annual-gathering-2018).
