Happy #FundingFriday !

We want to encourage groups and districts to apply to funding available, so we have put together a list of funding available to charities. Below is a list of a few chosen funding opportunities for our groups to apply for.

Apply for All: Alpkit Foundation

Funds available: £50-500
The foundation’s support seeks to help projects get off the ground. It focuses on: supporting outdoor programmes, proactive conservation and environmental projects e.g. community gardens
Projects that encourage the development of outdoor skills and activities that can be experienced by wider groups e.g. cycling, climbing, outdoor swimming etc.

This funding sounds like a great opportunity to get the ball rolling on projects, and help groups give back to the community. After Covid, many groups may want to create spaces in the community that individuals can use as an outdoor space to come together. You may also have ideas of outdoor activities your group wants to participate in.

Matthew Good: Grants for Good

Funds available: £3,500(1st place), £2,500(2nd place), £2,000(3rd place) and £1,000 fourth place.
This grant focuses on empowering organisations who focus on promoting good causes.
Looking for projects which create a positive impact on communities, people and the environment.
They accept applications all year round, with application deadlines being on the 15th every month. Funding is awarded every three months.
DEADLINE: Wednesday December 15th, 2021, 11:59pm

This funding is available for charities and organisations who are looking to fund a project that focuses on community and the environment. If you have ideas of funding a project that betters the environment but also gives back to your community, then this funding is great.

Patagonia: Environmental grant

Funds available: Up to $12,000 (£8,465.88)
Patagonia focuses on protecting the environment and this grant focuses on funding innovative work that focuses on fighting the root cause of the environmental crisis.
It encourages work that brings underrepresented communities to the forefront of the environmental movement and defends communities whose health and livelihoods are threatened by environmental exploitation.
DEADLINE: Continuous rolling programme however:
all applications received by 30 June will receive a response by the end of October; and all applications received by 31 January will receive a response by the end of June.

This funding provides a great opportunity to support projects that focus on fighting against root causes of environmental issues. Giving the opportunity to those whose health and livelihood is effected.
