Esplac International Camp 2013

Thursday, 27 September 2012

Esplais Catalans, Esplac, have invited Woodcraft delegations to join them on their first ever international camp next summer. The camp is for 13-17 year olds and their leaders. This is the perfect opportunity for Venturers to do an exchange with an Esplac group – your group can visit them on their camp and you can host a group of young people at Venturer Camp, which will take place a few days after.

The camp will take place on 19-28 July 2013 in the Berguedà region of Catalonia, Spain, near the Pyrenees. The site is approximately 150km (95 miles) from Barcelona. The camp will be made up of about 200 people, split into three or four villages.

The theme of the camp is ‘Together for Diversity’ and aims to create a space where young people can experience living together with the values of team work, respect, co-operation, non-discrimination, equality, citizenship, solidarity and social justice. You will take part in games, role play activities, creative arts workshops, decision-making workshops and cultural visits.

As the running of the camp is dependent on grant funding, you will not be able to book your travel until May 2013. However, if the grant funding is successful, 70% of travel will be reimbursed.

If you are interested in taking a delegation to the camp, please get in touch with Marc Garcia, international co-ordinator of Esplac:
