Woodcraft Folk is a national movement for children and young people. We offer a place where children will grow in confidence, learn about the world and start to understand how to value our planet and each other. We have been approached by the Co-operative Academy to run a summer and Autumn term enrichment scheme for some of their SEND and PP pupils and we have an exciting opportunity for a Summer Scheme & Social Action Club Co-ordinator in Leeds.

The Summer Scheme & Social Action club will aim to provide safe, engaging and educational activities to students of the Coop Academy outside of formal schooling. It will also aim to alleviate holiday hunger experienced by young people. We are looking for someone to co-ordinate a team that will deliver fun and creative activities with young people through the summer and after school during the Autumn Term. Woodcraft Folk is an enriching experience for facilitators and young people alike as they both learn and grow from each other’s perspectives.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Planning activities, including consulting with young people to shape programme activities

  • Supervising play workers

  • Leading on all safeguarding, health & safety and inclusion issues

  • Liaising with Coop Academy staff

  • Evaluating the impact of activities on pupils
