A big thank you to all our volunteers!

Friday, 5 June 2020

Our organisation, like many others, is going through challenging times.

While this crisis has been hard and difficult for many of us in different ways, it has also shown how lucky we are to be part of this wonderful movement that is Woodcraft Folk.

For Volunteers’ Week, we’d like to thank all of our volunteers for keeping on going throughout lockdown to bring brilliant experiences to young people and keep them engaged from their homes. The feedback we have received so far has been very positive, and we will continue to do our best to keep us connected as much as possible.

We have also seen teams of volunteers being active in their communities, preparing activity packs in Adur district for more vulnerable families, or organising a virtual spring camp in Hackney to keep young members involved.

In the past weeks, we have also launched our new website #DreamBigAtHome (check it out if you haven’t yet!), which was put together in only a few weeks by a small team of volunteers.

We look forward to go back to our normal activities, group nights, going to camp, and meeting again, and we know we can count on volunteers all around the country to move forward once this strange period is over.

Woodcraft Folk depends on the commitment and adaptability of our volunteers, and could not function without them, so thanks to all for supporting us and for being so valuable and fantastic!
