A socially Distanced Working Week

The relaxing of the lockdown restrictions means’ we are once again able to welcome campers to Biblins. This summer, from 8th July - 1st September we’re opening to family and household groups.

The guidance allows for 2 families to stay overnight, so why not bring a friend a share a pitch. Weekends are booking up fast but there are more options for a mid week break. The burrow, our wonderful hobbit like building built into the hillside is also available for families.

With the site having been empty, and the aftermath of the February flooding there was still lots to do to get ready for guests, so it was fantastic to see such and enthusiast response to our latest working week. We had a number of different households and families on site, each spreading out and taking on different tasks.

While our usual shared lunches were off the menu for now there was plenty of the team work and cooperation that makes Woodcraft so special for many of us. There was a real buzz on site seeing all that was a achieved in just a few days. The warden’s cabin, now fully repaired after the flood is once again ready for wardens. The burrow has been cleaned and mopped inside and out. Toilet blocks painted and huge amounts of brambles and weeds cut back ensuring there’s plenty of clear space to get in and out of the buildings.
