AGM 2020 and Election Results

Monday, 21 September 2020

We held our Annual Gathering Meeting yesterday/on Sunday 13th September and we wanted to update you on the results.

This was the first time we have attempted to do such a meeting online, and, despite a few hiccups it went well. We had 69 proxy votes submitted in advance and 13 votes cast on the day. There were 25 people in attendance, including Standing Orders Committee and General Council Members.

The full minutes will follow shortly and will be available via the website, but here are the important headlines.

We were quorate, which means we had enough votes for the meeting to be able to make decisions. We had only two motions; to accept receipt of the 2019 accounts and to re-appoint our auditors. Both of these motions were passed.

We also held the elections for General Council and Standing Orders Committee last week. These were voted on by groups and districts online until 7th September and then counted by Standing Orders Committee on Friday 11th September. The results of the election are:-

Standing Orders Committee

  • David Neibig

General Council

16-24 positions

  • Nadia Asri
  • Pip Sayers

Lay positions

  • Tom Brooks
  • Josh Dodd
  • Isla Douglas
  • Aggie Taylor
  • Jack Walker

Big congratulations to everyone who was elected.
