Growing Groups Training

Can you help Woodcraft Folk ensure that every child has the opportunity to participate in one of our groups?

This residential training weekend, held at our Lockerbrook Outdoor Centre, in the heart of the Peak District National Park, is a chance for volunteers new and old to come together to explore how to grow and sustain our groups.

New volunteers will have the opportunity to learn how to plan and deliver a programme of activities rooted in Woodcraft Folk's aims & principles, and keep young people safe in our groups.

More experienced leaders will be able to reflect and share good practice and explore how to manage the recruitment of young members and support other volunteers to ensure our groups continue to thrive and reflect the diversity of the communities they serve.

We'll draw on the lessons learned from our recent new group development projects, as well as the wealth of tools and resources that exist to support our volunteers, whatever their experience or level of engagement. Training will involve a mixture of practical exercises, group discussions and action planning.
