Heading for 100 - A Woodcraft Folk film

Wednesday, 20 July 2016

We're pleased to have launched our new film "Heading for 100". Narrated by Michelle Collins, the film uses Woodcraft Folk films from the past nine decades to tell the story of Woodcraft Folk's first 90 years and looks forward to our centenary in 2025.

The film was produced by media.coop, working with Debs McCahon and Nicola Samson as part of our 90th anniversary celebrations and was funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund.

Hands In 2016

Hands In was created in 2011 by young members of the TREE Steering Group. The idea was simple, as a movement we would all try to engage in similar activities to celebrate our shared values at a similar time of year. Hands In has seen groups across the UK participate in quilt making, geocaching and poetry writing.

In 2016, Woodcraft Folk would like groups to build on the many 90th anniversary celebrations by exploring Woodcraft Folk’s heritage and discussing aspirations for its future as part of the Hands In month.
