Monica cycles from Athens to Lisbon for girls' education

Earlier this week, clan Piercy of Spelthorne District Woodcraft Folk gathered eagerly at Heathrow to meet their sister/daughter/auntie Monica who had just completed a 6,000km cycle ride for charity in only 63 days. She rode from Athens to Lisbon, mostly solo, to raise £5,000 for the girls’ education charity CAMFED.

Successful fundraising Jumble Sale for school in Pakistan

 On Saturday 11th May, Sheffield Woodcraft Folk linked together with members of the local Pakistani community in the Nether Edge area of Sheffield and raised a stunning £1,127.25 from a Jumble Sale held at Common Ground (St Peter’s) on Machon Bank.

Many Districts are not using the Gift Aid system because they think it is too complicated or will cause them some kind of problem. Until recently, I thought the same and my District missed out on the massive opportunity Co-Camp presented to raise money for the District and for Woodcraft's central office... writes Tom from Ealing.
