The Courier AGM

Woodcraft's fabulous new newspaper is holding its first AGM on January 20th in London. All Woodcraft Folk members interested in contributing to The Courier should come along!

Details yet to be confirmed but the day will include

  • Discussion and idea-sharing about future editions
  • Elections for a new editorial & production team

London Region AGM 2013

The formal AGM will take place in the morning and there will be a number of workshops in the afternoon. A creche will be provided (booking in advance essential) and lunch will also be provided (let us know you are coming for numbers).

Following the great success of recent training for young leaders we are pleased to invite you to a new kind of training event, one with both training for young leaders and training which enables established members to support young leaders.

Ceilidh with the Rakes

The hall can take up to 100 and it will be first come first served for tickets. The Rakes will provide live music and a caller. We will provide some food, but you will need to bring your own drinks. The venue is close to Colliers Wood station on the Northern Line or a bus ride away from Wimbledon station (District Line, Rail).  Please contact Anna for tickets.

 

Join Woodcraft's Friendship Festival!

Children's Mystery Walk along the London Peace Trail

To be held Sunday 23rd September organised by the Movement for the Abolition of War

The event is for children aged 5 to 11, a fun day out for the whole family. Children are given a Mystery Walk puzzle book and a Mystery Walk passport. They'll find clues, solve puzzles and decode messages along the route in order to get their passports stamped at each site.

Theme: Supporting new and young leaders through mentoring - providing skills and tools to allow you to mentor young people who are taking on roles of greater responsibility and leadership in Woodcraft Folk

Cost: FREE (travel fully expensed, lunch provided).
