Annual Gathering is the democratic heart of the Woodcraft Folk, but it’s so much more than that. As well as celebrating our achievements over the past year & electing our General Council, we discuss future plans for the movement, share skills & experiences, and enjoy each other’s company in true Woodcraft style.

The World We Want To See Camp

What does your vision for the future of the world look like? What small steps can we take to make th at happen? Pioneers, Venturers, DFs and voluntee rs are invited to take part in "The World WeWant To See" Camp from Saturday 4th to Mond ay 6th May 2019.  After setting up campon Saturday and an opening circle: young members will participate in (and volunteers will support) a wide game: Sammy (a Pioneer) is presenting youngpeople's vision of a better world to UN, bu t needs your help to collect all the evidence theyneed and put together their report!

Introducing Children's Rights Training

This is a training tool to introduce the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC). This resource can be used by our leaders and helpers. 

The resource is downloadable from this page and takes about 10 minutes. 

Aims & Principles Outcomes Matrix

A successful programme for a Woodcraft group will include a range of activities inspired by our Aims & Principles. To help translating these big ideas into something that group leaders can put into practice, experienced Woodcraft leaders working with every age group have contributed to the creation of a set of age-appropriate outcomes linked to the Aims & Principles.

#CommonGround group poetry workshops

We are really excited to be working with Helen Mort (http://www.helenmort.com/)one of the most exciting women poets in the UK.  She is going to lead 4 interlinked workshops accessible for all ages but we particularly want to encourage DFs and Venturers  to come together to create a group collaborative poem which responds to the world we live in together.  We hope you will be then able to perform this at #CommonGround in 2020!

We have been busy over the winter getting the Centre ready for our groups this year and wanted to share some of the big news and upcoming events with you all!  

In the first 3 months of this year we have had double the number of Woodcraft Folk groups coming to us compared the same time last year.  And we ran our first ever retreat for women in the Folk which had a great response.
