Venturers

Badgework

Welcome to Woodcraft Folk's new badgework page!

Here you can access all the new draft badgework resources and let us know what you think. The consultation is open from now until 1st December - so make sure you get any comments in by then!

The badges have learning objectives and ‘tests’ (perhaps challenges would be better?) setting out what the kids need to learn and achieve in order to get the badge. The ‘tests’ are there as a guide for leaders, but each leader will know their own group best and can adapt the ‘tests’ to suit the ability of the kids.

Venturer Badges

Here is the pack for the Venturer badges. Please leave comments in the box below. If you'd like an activity added to the page please email it to badgework@woodcraft.org.uk and we'll get it up asap.

Join us for weekends at Lockerbrook Outdoor Centre

Friday, 14 July 2017

We want as many Woodies as possible to experience the delights of Lockerbrook – but often groups don’t have the numbers to book the whole centre or have difficulty organising a weekend away.  To encourage all groups to experience the fun of Lockerbrook we are organising special weekends where leaders can bring a few Woodies to have a great time up on the hill.

It's time for another Venturer Committee election!

Thursday, 13 July 2017

Venturer Committee is a group of 15 Venturers (1 from each region and 6 lay members) that are nationally elected by Single Transferable Vote. Being part of Venturer Committee is a great oppurtunity to gain skills and knowledge for later life (both in and out of Woodcraft), work together to come up with new ways to develop Venturers and, additionally, meet many more people from wider Woodcraft.
