Hello! My name is Pip Sayers, I’m 22 and I’m a music teacher and performer. At the start of this month I was elected Chair of General Council, potentially making me the youngest chair of a trustee board in the country. I started my Woodcraft life as an Elfin in Bradford. One of my earliest memories of Woodcraft is being encouraged by my Elfin leader to perform on saxophone at the Christmas Merrymoot, a skill which has gone on to shape my education and now career. Woodcraft has offered me countless valuable and character defining experiences from Elfins right through to DFs, and now as a Venturer leader in

Join with Woodies from across Scotland in a practical session full of ideas for fun indoor group night sessions to get us through the long dark Scottish winter.  This is an open event for all, members and non-members, with something for all age groups. 

Venturer Camp 2019 Update

There’s now just 10 months to go until Venturer Camp 2019 and the team and Venturer Committee have been working very hard to make it the best yet! The camp is going to be at Biblins from the 3rd - 10th of August, with precamp at the same site from the 28th-30th of June.

Behind the scenes staff and volunteers have been quietly working on the resources section of the website. After receiving your feedback we’ve made attempts to make this section more user friendly and we hope you agree.


The resources section has now been broken down into the following categories and easy to use buttons to help you find what you’re looking for.

Woodcraft Folk have this month taken over the management of the Forestry Commission's Biblins Youth Campsite in the Forest of Dean. Before the camping season begins we are looking to host a number of working weekend to improve facilities and to give the centre a real Woodies feel.
