Woodcraft Training Opportunities

Woodcraft Folk Training Area

Woodcraft training is free for members, and a great chance to take a step back from group sessions, and to share ideas and skills. These sessions will help you to run a successful group, where children can engage, learn and have fun in a safe environment, with confident leaders and helpers.

What is Woodcraft Folk all about?

This A3 poster is adapted from Brighton's leaflet.  I have changed the words slightly and designed it for this larger format.

Lucky Club

Do you Feel Lucky?

Lucky Club is a small lottery run by our volunteers which gives all our members the opportunity to win some money and support the folk!

How Does it Work?
All participants are given a number which goes into the lucky club draw which takes place on the 1st of every month. The cost of a number is only £1.00 a month of which half goes to the folk and half into the prize fund. Remember there are no limits to the amount of numbers you can have.

Why volunteer with Woodcraft Folk?

Woodcraft Folk runs on the passion and energy of thousands of volunteers. With the support of regional and central resources, local Woodcraft groups decide their own programme and co-ordinate their own events and camps.

National Volunteer Guide

Below you can download details of all the volunteer roles available at a local level in Woodcraft Folk groups around the UK. They're divided into three groups:

  • First steps - roles suitable for your first experience of volunteering in Woodcraft Folk
  • More involved - roles needing a bit more time and experience
  • Regular commitment - roles for those who've been volunteering for a while and want more responsibility
