Additional Camping & Residential Guidance
This detailed guidance was created by volunteers in Cambridge District to support volunteers organising camps and residentials. These overviews of roles and responsibilties on camp may provide a helpful starting point for your own camping or hostel trips.
This guidance should be read on conjunction with the policy and practice documents available on our Safeguarding Portal, especially the Code of Conduct for volunteers and the Camp Checklist.

Window Wanderland 2020
Children and young people from Glasgow Kelvingrove Woodcraft Folk joined Glasgow Southside district in creating a display for our local Window Wanderland event this February.
This is an event that sees a neighbourhood put on a fantastic evening display of creative window design transforming everyday streets into magical, outdoor galleries.

Scottish Gathering 2020
50 members and young people from Edinburgh, Falkirk, Camelon, Stirling, Glasgow Southside, Glasgow East End and Glasgow Kelvingrove met for our annual Scottish Gathering weekend and AGM at the beginning of February. Crianlarich youth hostel is situated near hills and woodland and was an appropriate backdrop to our camping and outdoor adventures programme theme, ahead of Common Ground International camp and other summer activities this year.
