Welcome to the place to find all Venturer Camp news. Venturer Camp will be happening this summer, 3rd-11th August with Venturers from across the country getting together to have an amazing time and experience the wider Woodcraft movement. Here news articles will be gathered together about all aspects of Venturer Camp to help you find out what's happening and how your group can be supported to get involved.

VCamp pre-camp: book now!

Pre-camp is at Drum Hill from Friday 21st June - Sunday 23rd June. It's a great chance to get more involved in how VCamp will run. Read more and book in here
If you have any questions please e-mail or phone Jack Brown 07933 757434.

Booking for VCamp itself

Attached below are lots of useful documents to book your district into Venturer Camp. Your group needs a booking secretary to book you all in. They should read the first attachment below, How to make a booking using the Woodcraft Online System'. The booking deadline is 5th July, after which the cost increases by £10 per person, so book soon!

The cost of the camp is £112 per person. A non-returnable deposit of £50 must be paid by the deadline in order to get the corresponding fee. Amendments to age group or dietary requirements made after 5th July 2013 will incur a fee of £5 per person changed.

If you don't have a district to come with please contact and she will help you book.

Taster activities for VCamp

Each Venturer group should have received an exciting pack of activities in the post, introducing you to the many centres that will be running workshops at VCamp. If you didn't see it or don't have your own copy, you can download it from the resources section

Bring a delegation

We would love lots of Venturer groups to bring young people from other organisations in their community to VCamp. Funding from TREE to help you do this may be available! If you have a youth group in mind, or would like help making contact with one, get in touch with Alice who is helping with delegations.

The structure of the camp

The theme of this year's VCamp is A Midsummer Night's Dream, and every day has a new theme related to the play. Find out what elements of the play will inspire each day's activities
