Summer camp: young leaders & new groups

We've launched #DreamBigAtHome!

Our new lockdown website has hundreds of activities and games to do at home, weekly challenges to try and a regular programme of live workshops and events online, as well as information on how our groups can operate during the COVID-19 outbreak.

Event date:
11 August 2012 - 12:00pm - 17 August 2012 - 2:00pm
Event location:
Woodcraft Park Farm, Lurgashall, West Sussex

Starting on August 11th, at Woodcraft Park Farm in Sussex, the camp will provide potential young leaders with training in all the activities you’d want to become a group leader, including craft, co-operation, positive behaviour and using Woodcraft’s aims and principles to make a fantastic, fun programme.

From August 15th – 17th, new Woodcraft groups can join them, for their first experience of a Woodcraft camp. It’s a brilliant opportunity for the new leaders to put their skills into practice, facilitating camp activities and a crèche, whilst new group members see just how inspiring young role models can be.

It’s also an opportunity for experienced Woodcraft volunteers to come and help run the camp and train our new young leaders.

Be part of our new idea! If you’re a Venturer, DF or Kinsfolk and want to give children the same amazing experience you had as an Elfin or Pioneer, or if your Pioneer days are a distant memory and you know you’ve got experience of camping or training to share, get in touch.
