Residential training weekend in Scotland

Our new lockdown website has hundreds of activities and games to do at home, weekly challenges to try and a regular programme of live workshops and events online, as well as information on how our groups can operate during the COVID-19 outbreak.

  A free weekend residential of training in Stirling for volunteers, leaders and parent helpers this March.  

This is a high quality course offered as part of some recent funding. Places will be offered on a first come first served basis, so please book as soon as possible. The booking form is attached.

Includes: Hotel lunches, dinner, bed and breakfast, and refreshments

Please also let us know if you are interested in day childcare and we will look into this if there is enough interest.

o    Consider important issues from the eyes of children and young people, exploring how your group may address or support them to explore issues in a safe and supportive environment

o    Plan programme activities grounded in our aims and principles

o    Test different discussion techniques that can be used in groups

o    Explore how to work safely with children and young people

o    Share skills and games with other leaders and helpers

o    Identify sources of additional support and training

o    Consider the benefits and outcomes for children and young people of their involvement in Woodcraft activities
