14.00 – 15.30 Comparing Bushcraft to what inspired the early Woodcraft Movement

Today the Woodcraft Folk is increasingly integrating bushcraft into its camping and outdoor activities. Yet the skills of survival in the wild and outdoors are very similar to the skills of the early woodcraft movement which gave birth to the Woodcraft Folk in 1925. The Folk of today could be said to be returning to its roots. But why? How does this return to our roots fit with the Folk's goal of 'education for social change' today?       Led By Rich Palser
