Leader Training - Cudham Activity Centre

Event date:
7 September 2018 - 10:00am - 9 September 2018 - 3:00pm
Event location:
Cudham Activity Centre

This residential training weekend held at Cudham Environmental  Activities Centre, in the heart of the beautiful Kent countryside, is an opportunity for volunteers new and experienced to come together to explore how to grow and sustain our groups.

New volunteers will have the opportunity to learn how to plan and deliver a programme of activities rooted in Woodcraft Folk’s aims & principles, and keep young people safe in our groups.

More experienced leaders will be able to reflect and share good practice and explore how to manage the recruitment of young members and support other volunteers to ensure our groups continue to thrive and reflect the diversity of the communities they serve.

There will be the opportunity to cover and discuss other areas also as they arise over the weekend.

This training weekend is free to attendees; Overnight accommodation and meals will be provided although daytime only attendance is possible. You will need to make your own way to the training centre but support for travel costs is possible if your group/district are unable to pay these. Please enquire with them first. Crèche facilities can be arranged with volunteers if it is required during the training day, please notify us in advance.
