Engineering: Response to climate emergency post Covid-19

We've launched #DreamBigAtHome!

Our new lockdown website has hundreds of activities and games to do at home, weekly challenges to try and a regular programme of live workshops and events online, as well as information on how our groups can operate during the COVID-19 outbreak.

Event date:
29 July 2020 - 6:30pm - 7:30pm
Event location:

Join Paul Fleming and Ingenious volunteers as we look at:

Building on the recent reports such as the UK Government’s  Committee on climate change,  the Labour Green New Deal and the RAEng (Royal Academy of Engineering) vision for net zero, the session will look at different policy options for the UK recovery. It will discuss how the “Kids Field” project can develop training and support materials to help deliver a successful project.

Prior to the session, participants should have some prior knowledge of UK energy policy and have at least read the attached documents from the Committee on Climate Change, Labour for a Green New Deal and the Royal Academy of Engineering.

The aim of the session is to identify a series of options for  developing training and support materials and case studies for the volunteer engineers working on the “Kids Field” project, when they engage with young people.
