‘Making Woodcraft Folk Bigger and Better’

Bring your ideas, vision and experience to make Woodcraft Folk bigger and better for all.

Who should attend?

  • Young people and adult members with an interest in Woodcraft Folk at all levels
  • Those with experience of volunteer and member recruitment
  • District, Regional and National Committee members
  • Those with a vision for a Woodcraft Folk that is open and accessible to all
  • Members with enthusiasm and a commitment to Woodcraft Folk
  • Those with an understanding of member training and support needs

Activities will be participative and include a mixture of small and thematic group work.

‘Bored Meeting’ training will also be provided at the same venue for those young people and adults who participate in the various Woodcraft Folk committees.

Travel information

Development Conference will be held at the Lee Valley YHA in Cheshunt, which is just north east of London.

How to get there by train:
The YHA is situated 200 metres from Cheshunt station, which can be reached by train from London Liverpool Street station. If you’re coming from outside of London, buy a ticket to Cheshunt, which (with the possible exception of those from the Eastern region) will take you through London.

How to get there by road:
Leave the M25 at junction 25 and take the A10, following the signs for Cheshunt. Follow brown signs to the hostel.
