Celtic Camp 2014 is now FULL and we are taking no more bookings.

The theme of the camp is Myths and Legends and it will be a mythical, monstrous gathering of Woodcraft Folk from the Celtic fringes of the UK, at a beautiful rural site in the Scottish Borders, close to the sea.

If you have booked in please read below for camp information. We look forward to welcoming you on camp but first we need some final details and payment from you.

Health and consent form

Every person attending camp must complete (or have this completed for them) the health and consent form. Please click on this link here to access the form. Please complete by Sunday, July 6th to enable the organising team to get everything in place.
All adults attending camp are required to be a full member of Woodcraft Folk and have a PVG disclosure certificate through Woodcraft Folk.

Payment

Please pay your district contact any outstanding amount you owe. By now you should have already paid the deposit of £20 (£10 concessionary)

Cost of the camp is as follows...

£75 for the full week, with a nightly rate of £20.
Concessionary rate of £40 for the full week, £10 a night for low/ unwaged households. Woodchips (5 and under) are free.

Getting to camp

For those arriving by public transport we are aiming to collect from Dunbar station Please indicate on your health form if you would like collected and at what time.

We would encourage people where possible to come by public transport but if driving these are the directions if coming from North

- Take the A1 south past Dunbar, turn left onto the A1107 road to Coldingham and look out for a farm steading and two wind turbines on your right after about 6 miles. This is Huxton farm. The camp is a km or so away from the farm and there will be signs directing you to where to park. You can drive onto the camp but once unloaded must take your vehicle to the designated parking area.

On arrival at camp

We will be splitting into two villages for cooking, eating and sleeping. You will be allocated a village and a clan within the village. All camp members will be expected to carry out clan duties as part of the efficient running of camp (washing up, cooking, water collection etc.). We will aim to have the camp opening circle at 4pm on Monday, August 4th.

Activities

These will be carried out across the camp and not split by village. The camp will have activities and fun for Woodcraft Folk of all ages, based on our theme of myths and legends. Offsite activities will include coastal walks and exploring the Lammermuir Hills. We are developing programmes for all age groups, and would welcome ideas and input.
