Event date:
14 December 2019 - 11:00am - 4:00pm
Event location:
The Guildhall, Thetford
Come and celebrate everything we’ve achieved together through our new groups project in the Eastern Region! We want to share what our groups in Norwich, Cambridge, Lowestoft, Waveney Valley, Peterborough, St Neots, Ipswich, Diss, Thetford, Bury St Edmunds, Kings Lynn and Framlingham have enjoyed over the last two and a half years and inspire each other with ideas for years to come! We’ll have games, crafts and activities, presentations looking forward at exciting things to come, a buffet lunch to share and a chance to get to know other Woodcraft Folk members from groups across the region.

We'll be asking each of our new groups, and groups who have been growing through the project, to create a display to share what they've been doing at group nights and on residentials over the last two years. That'll form the backdrop to our day of activities:

  • Share in a wintertime warming lunch over which you can get to know fellow Woodcraft Folk members from across the region.
  • Suggest a game to play and learn a new one to take home. We'll provide a parachute, balls, and other equipment for an activity share of the most common co-operative games played by groups - bring your ideas and energy!
  • Have a go at a new craft, including those which have been most popular at our outreach sessions throughout the project.
  • And the fun doesn't stop here - find out all about opportunities coming up in 2020 and beyond!

The event is free to attend and funding is available for travel expenses.
