Bitesize Staying Safe training plan

This training session is an introduction to safeguarding for group leaders and helpers.

By the end of the session, new volunteers will:

  • Get to know each other, the group and Woodcraft Folk

  • Be able to use safeguarding procedures to respond to concerns raised about a child or adult

  • Know where to find further resources and training opportunities

This plan is one of a series of four 'bitesize' session plans, developed by the New Groups team. See the related resources section for sessions on: Putting the aims and principles into practice, Promoting positive behaviour and Working together.
