 New management for Biblins Youth Campsite

The Forestry Commission are pleased to announce new management arrangements for the Biblins youth campsite.  After many years of in-house management, the site at The Doward,Whitchurch, Ross-on-Wyewill now be managed under a long-term lease with the UK charity, Woodcraft Folk.

Woodcraft Folk are a progressive youth organisation with 90 years’ experience of supporting children and young people to camp, play and learn about the environment.

Leader Training Weekend: 9-11 February

Places are still available on our forthcoming leader training weekend in Febraury, which will take place at the Darsham Country Centre in Suffolk.

The training is suitable for new and existing volunteers working with any of our age groups. Participants will have the chance to share challenges and solutions, as welll as learn practical tips and techniques for managing your group, keeping young people safe, and planning an engaging programme.

2017 was a busy year for campaigning and it looks like 2018 will provide plenty of opportunities to make our voices heard on issues that matter to Woodcraft Folk. General Council has prepared a new resource to help members plan effective, inclusive campaigning activity and to clarify the process for Woodcraft Folk endorsing campaigns organised by others.

Brighton Marathon 2018 is taking place on Sunday 15th April and we have an amazing team of runners taking part to raise much needed funds for the Folk. While most of us are still snuggled up in bed they are out in all weathers training in preparation.

Join this webinar to receive training and support on how to complete your Financial Returns for 2017. The webinar will be hosted by Roland Susman our current Treasurer and Richard Robertson who manages the returns process.

Scottish Gathering is an opportunity for everyone involved with Woodcraft Folk in Scotland to come together, share what we have been doing in different parts of the country, build links, plan for the future (and socialise!).
