The National Union of Students have called a demonstration on Wednesday 21st November to protest against the government's education reforms. It is vital that we as a children and young person's educational movement support this.

"People that can do stuff, rather than talk about doing stuff." 

This is how one visitor to Co-operatives United described "a good co-operative" when asked. Others described a co-operative as unity, shared aims, responsibility in your community, mutual benefit - just some of the descriptions of a co-operative given to young Woodcraft Folk member David, who volunteered at this huge festival of co-operation.  This weekend (12th to 14th of October) saw the coming together of 16 young leaders from across the Woodcraft membership to the YHA Bristol to hone their leadership skills. They came from as far North as Newcastle and were aged 15 to 24, either young leaders from Elfin or Pioneer Groups or looking to become ones.

The weekend started by a review of the key aims and principles of Woodcraft and how these were put into practice by our groups. As these would be the building blocks of our young leaders leading and the reasons they were doing so.

Mae'r ddau yn rhan o dyfiant diweddar mewn grwpiau newydd yng Nghymru a fydd yn sicrhau dyfodol disglair i Werin y Coed.
