On Sunday 20th November Woodies from across Scotland gathered in Glasgow for an afternoon of skill sharing and socialising. The aim was for everyone of all ages to learn something new to take back to their groups, and to build links between groups around the country.
It is with a sad heart that we must report the passing away of John Marland (WINGFOOT) of Watford Woodcraft Folk.
John died on 31st October at the incredible age of 94. He was born in 1922 and was married to Kate.
We have secured funding from Children in Need to set up a new Elfin group in Glasgow to attract refugees
Woodcraft Park Farm bookings for 2017 camping are now open. Woodcraft Park Farm is a campsite in the picturesque village of Lurgashall, West Sussex, in the South Downs Natonal Park. The site can accomodate up to 100 campers at a time in one

Oral History of the Woodcraft Folk
The University of Brighton is inviting applications for funded PhD studentship topics to commence in September 2017.
We're pleased to announce that the winner of this year Membership Badge competition is Maya Hyde (13 years) from the Mahlangu Venturers in Brighton Central & Hove District. We received over 300 votes and the result was very close with only two votes separating 1st and 2nd place.

Earlier this year we asked our members to take part in this year’s Membership Badge competition. The theme was ‘Woodcraft Folk in the year 2106’.
Last year was a chance for reflection and looking back at our history. So we thought this time we’d like our members to look to the future and imagine Woodcraft Folk in another 90 years.

Many of you will have received one of the newly issued five pound notes, marvelled at its see through water mark and indestructability, wondered if you should save it, spend it, frame it?

The Woodcraft Folk is hosting an international camp in 2020.
We are beginning the search for a site and would love to hear your suggestions. We will need a site which can accomodate up to 4000 people, but due to us camping in large circles, we will be looking for sites with quoted capacities of around 10 000 people.
