March with Woodcraft for Refugees

Wednesday, 24 August 2016

On 17th September, Woodcraft are demonstrating in solidarity with refugees in London.

Woodcraft has a long history of supporting refugees and international solidarity is an important part of the work we do. It would be great to have a fun and lively presence on this march to continue our commitment to building a better world. There will be space to join as an individual or as a group and it could provide the ideal motivating start to the new year.

You could use the resources in THIS LINK about our Right to Refuge campaign to run a session on it. If you have other resources like short films please send them to me and we can share them round.

We will be part of a demonstration organised by Solidarity With Refugees UK who say:

"Each day war forces thousands of families to flee their homes. To escape the violence, they leave everything behind – everything except their hopes and dreams for a safer future. We believe that all refugees deserve to live in safety. "
