Largest Growth Project Launched

Friday, 8 August 2014

Following recent funding success, Woodcraft Folk will be launching its largest new group project ever!

The Cabinet Office funding will enable Woodcraft Folk to employ a small team of New Group Support workers to reach out to new communities across West Yorkshire. The 19-month project will:

  • Organise play days and social action opportunities
  • Engage 400 children and young people in regular weekly activities

Debs McCahon, Woodcraft Folk's Director of Development commented "This is a really exciting project and is exactly what is needed to help us deliver our current strategic plan - Bigger & Better. The project will build on the success of both Play Out and NCS projects, reaching out to families, children, young people and new volunteers in Leeds, Wakefield and Huddersfield."

To make the project a success we will be recruiting some new project staff (application pack), local volunteers and experienced members as new group buddies. For more information please contact deborah.mccahon@woodcraft.org.uk
