Check out this video of Central Brighton and Hove District at Burning the Clocks 2017.

As you might know, Burning the Clocks is a lantern parade which is held in Brighton. It happens on the 21st of December each year to celebrate the winter solstice.

The even has been happening for nearly 25 years and Woodcraft has been involved from the start.

The dragon you can see in the video above was made jointly by all the groups in the District. Mahlangu Venturers constructed the head, which was designed by a DF. A pioneer designed and made the tail. The body pieces were made separately and then put together by Venturers and adults at the parade.

The idea to make the dragon came from the event's theme which, this year, was 'East'.
