Q. What does the treasurer do?

Q. Is there a spreadsheet example that we can use for our district accounts?

Q. When is the start and end of the Woodcraft financial year?

A. January 1st to December 31st.

Q. Where do I find copies of a financial return form?

A. Treasurers are sent their Districts personalised Financial return fom by email at least 2 months before the deadline.                 However if blank copies are required they're available for download here on our website.

Q. When does our district’s financial return have to be submitted?

A. 12th February 2017.

Q. Where do I get help in completing the annual returns?

A. There is a step-by-step guide here or you can email returns@woodcraft.org.uk or phone 020 7703 4173.

Q. Are there rules about applying for funding?

A. Yes, Woodcraft Folk has a policy about applying for funding. You can see a copy here.

Q. What is Gift Aid?

A. Gift Aid enables charities like Woodcraft Folk to claim back the tax paid by donors on money they donate to the charity. If you are a UK taxpayer, every £10 you donate could be worth £12.50 to Woodcraft Folk.

Q. How do we open a bank account for our Group or District? 

A. We advise all our groups & districts to open a Co-op Bank account. Details of how to open an account can be found here.
