New Leader Training Available to Book NOW!!

Wednesday, 11 October 2017

Are you new to volunteering with Woodcraft Folk?

Have you been involved for a while but want to learn more?

Our New Leader Training weekends are a great way to learn more about Woodcraft Folk, share ideas with new leaders from across the UK, and a gain the skills and confidence to lead engaging activities for children.

People who come to our training sessions say they feel more confident and more able to lead activities at group.

Badgework

Welcome to Woodcraft Folk's new badgework page!

Here you can access all the new draft badgework resources and let us know what you think. The consultation is open from now until 1st December - so make sure you get any comments in by then!

The badges have learning objectives and ‘tests’ (perhaps challenges would be better?) setting out what the kids need to learn and achieve in order to get the badge. The ‘tests’ are there as a guide for leaders, but each leader will know their own group best and can adapt the ‘tests’ to suit the ability of the kids.

Membership Badge Competition 2018

Tuesday, 1 August 2017

Earlier this year we launched the competition to find next year’s membership badge design. Last year was a chance for thinking about our future. This year we’d like our young members to look at social action in their local area. This is a great group night activity to kick off the Autumn term.

Theme: Be Inspired by local action
