Welcome to another World
220 Woodies from about 20 different districts attended the IFM camp; after the Catalans we were the second largest foreign
group. Most of us lasted the two weeks, some came for one week only. The central catering took some getting used to and we missed the bonding that happens in the cooking clans. But there was lots of good stuff too.
Campfires are a key part of the Woodcraft Folk experience and bonfire night is a great opportunity for singing and eating aroung a fire when camping season is just a distant memory. And as a regular part of our activities, properly organised camp fires are covered by our regular insurance.
Come along to this years AGM on Saturday 24 September at 10am held at the Birmingham & Midland Institute, just a few minutes walk from Birmingham New Street station.
The Venturer Camp programme is now ready!! Participants can now take their first look at an overview of the camps programme. Vcamp begins on 6th August at Drum Hill Scout Site in Derby. We look forward to seeing you all there!!
Members from across the UK gathered at a camp site in Youlbury near Oxford for the first ever Woodcraft Folk, Folk Assembly. The weekend was very productive and a great time was had by all.
If you still haven’t booked for Venturer Camp then don’t worry – there’s still time to join us!
This year we're trying a new approach - splitting the old Annual Gathering into two events. Folk Assembly an informal gathering at Youlbury Scout site near Oxford from 8-10 July and a one day AGM in Birmingham on the 24th September.
